2010 PREDICTION #9 Results

Initial Report
How about a good news prediction? The good news, is that I have psi seen many 2010 co-existing time lines that contain positive advances in realistic financial and physical recovery for all manner of people and businesses that were seriously harmed by the corruption, greed, and negligence of others.
Here's the catch: This can only work if the Obama administration changes tact and utilizes its powers to pursue and achieve actual and tangible justice for the victims. For example: fraud has been rampant in many financial institutions, whether they fell or received stimulus money. Out the fraud, hold the guilty responsible, and get the money back into the hands of the victims. In turn, the people will have a good and realistic reason for renewed hope.
Regardless of political spin to the contrary, the masses in general do not view the stimulus package and the health care bill as helpful to them or their ability to recover. It's a burden that they are helpless to lessen or deal with. History will view it in an even harsher light. Therefore, the actual justice I psi see is the real and true catalyst for genuine and positive change. If the Obama administration brings this real and true justice to the people, then people from all walks of life will envision and carry out ingenious plans that refresh the economy and work force. The spirit is also refreshed, as is hope for the future. People, who haven't worked in years or who lost their business, now have a job and/or a business - and one that they are proud to be a part of. Most of these many ingenious ideas work at the community level in ways never before seen - but are long overdue. I have psi seen how many of them successfully work. In fact, many of these plans can work in any country in the world. It's a great way to bring the world together. If the rest - or majority - of my 2010 predictions come to pass, then I would like the respect and opportunity to put what I saw in motion.

Commentary
The 2010 prediction # 9 has multiple hits. In order to better understand the many connected parts that comprise this prediction, it’s best to include a review of the results for prediction # 2, prediction # 3, and prediction #8. Although much of what the Obama Administration has brought is a sustained level of harmful political warfare, there are also examples that the justice system is going after people and organizations whose greed and dishonesty have harmed both individuals and the masses. Therefore, more will be added to this documentation as results are realized in 2011.

Obama Admits He Hasn't Changed Washington
In Magazine Interview, Obama Laments that he Hasn't Been Able to Bring the Country Together
(CBS/ AP) President Barack Obama says he has not succeeded in bringing the country together, acknowledging an atmosphere of divisiveness that has washed away the lofty national feeling surrounding his inauguration a year ago.
"That's what's been lost this year ... that whole sense of changing how Washington works," Obama said in an interview with People magazine.
The president said his second-year agenda will be refocused on uniting the country around common values, "whether we're Democrats or Republicans."
"We all want work that's satisfying, pays the bills and gives children a better future and security," Obama said in the interview, which the magazine conducted with the president and his wife, Michelle Obama, at the White House last Friday.
The president's comments came as Republican leaders rallied against the core items of his agenda, from his economic stimulus plan to health care. The mood of the country has remained in a sustained slump, too, as double-digit unemployment followed a campaign built upon "hope" and "change."
Obama said people have "every right to feel deflated, because the economy was far worse than any of us expected." But he insisted that his government's economic steps in 2009 are paying off and that people should have confidence in this new year.
The interview is not the only one the president has done recently with members of the press. But he is also getting some heat for not doing more formal press conferences as well. He hasn't held a formal prime-time press conference in several months, which has caused some consternation among some members of the White House press corps.

President Obama admits leadership failures

President Barack Obama acknowledged a series of errors since taking office, admitting that he misjudged the pace of the economic recovery, that he has sometimes strayed from his campaign promise to change the tone of debate in Washington, and that leadership “isn’t just legislation.”“We were so busy and so focused on getting a bunch of stuff done that we stopped paying attention to the fact that, yeah, leadership isn’t just legislation, that it’s a matter of persuading people and giving them confidence and bringing them together, and setting a tone,” Obama said in an interview conducted Thursday for airing Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” “We haven’t always been successful at that, and I take personal responsibility for that. And it’s something that I have to examine carefully as I go forward.”
While Obama stopped short of expressing public regrets about specific policy decisions, he continued the tone of contrition that he set in a televised news conference the day after Tuesday’s midterm elections saw Republicans recapture the House and narrow the Democratic majority in the Senate.
“Part of my promise to the American people when I was elected was to maintain the kind of tone that says we can disagree without being disagreeable. And I think over the course of two years, there have been times where I’ve slipped on that commitment,” the president said. He did not appear to offer specifics.
Asked by correspondent Steve Kroft if it were true, as Republicans have suggested, that the election was a referendum on him and the Democratic Party, Obama replied: “I think first and foremost, it was a referendum on the economy. And the party in power was held responsible for an economy that is still underperforming and where a lot of folks are still hurting.
He acknowledged that he thought the economy would have improved more and that he sometimes feels powerless when it comes to spurring growth.
“I do get discouraged, I mean, there are times where I thought the economy would [have] gotten better by now,” Obama said. “As president… you’re held responsible for everything. But you don't always have control of everything. Especially an economy this big— there are limited tools to encourage— the kind of job growth that we need,” he said, quickly adding that he was “positive” that the U.S. economy will eventually rebound.
Obama conceded his drive for financial regulatory reform and some his stimulus efforts have caused business leaders to view him and his administration warily.
“There's no doubt that the relationship with the business community over the course of the last two years at times has gotten strained,” Obama said. “And, so, I think that we've got some repair work to do there.”
Obama said he has no desire to intrude further into the business sector, but that recent moves in that direction were necessitated by what he called “exceptional circumstances.”
“My overarching philosophy is not one in which we have constantly increasing government intervention,” the president said.
Obama also used the interview to signal interest in a possible deal with Republicans that could extend Bush-era tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year. “We’re going to have a negotiation,” Obama said. “I am open to-- you know, finding a way in which, you know, they can meet their, principles and I can meet mine. But in order to do that, I think we do have to answer the question of how we pay for it…. Hopefully, we can agree on a set of facts that leads to a compromise.”
Obama’s pre-taped appearance on the widely watched Sunday TV newsmagazine show came as he was in the midst of a ten-day trip to Asia and offered an opportunity for him to inject discussion of U.S. domestic issues into news coverage of his overseas travels.
White House officials are clearly nervous that the journey—parts of which have been repeatedly postponed—could contribute to public perceptions that the president is detached from the economic concerns of everyday Americans. As a result, nearly every stop is expected to include explicit discussions of American jobs tied to foreign exports.
Obama sought in the interview to explain many of his policy efforts as necessary but unpopular medicine needed to address the sharp economic downturn, but he acknowledged that one major contributor to the “big government Obama” narrative—the health care reform law—was something he could have deferred.
“At the time, we knew that it probably wasn’t great politics,” Obama said. “I made the decision to go ahead and do it and it proved as costly politically, as we expected. Probably actually a little more costly than we expected, politically,” he added.
In a hint of a possible storyline in the upcoming 2012 presidential campaign, Obama said the health care plan he backed was specifically designed to mirror those proposed in the past by Republicans, including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, whom Obama suggested is making another bid for the White House.
“We thought that if we shaped a bill that wasn’t that different from bills that had previously been introduced by Republicans, including a Republican Governor in Massachusetts who’s now running for president, we would be able to find some common ground there. And we just couldn’t,” Obama said.
Obama also expressed impatience with his liberal supporters for not understanding the deep divisions in the country – and that overcoming them was not simply a matter of a better message.
“I will say that when it comes to some of-- my supporters— part of it, I think, is-- the belief that if I just communicated things better, that I’d be able to persuade-- that half of the country that voted for John McCain that we were right and they were wrong.
“One of the things that I think is important for people to remember is that-- you know, this country-- doesn’t just agree with the New York Times editorial page. And, I can make some really good arguments-- defending the Democratic position. And there are going to be some people who just don’t agree with me. And that’s okay.”
Obama’s admission that he hasn’t always lived up to his promise to change the tone of political debate in Washington was very close to a guilty-as-charged formulation he offered back in June 2008—at another time when he was under pressure to tack towards the political center and appear more bipartisan.
"Sometimes during campaigns the rhetoric gets overheated and amplified," Obama told Fortune magazine in response to a question about whether he had exaggerated the negative effects of the North American Free Trade Agreement. "Politicians are always guilty of that, and I don't exempt myself," he said.

President Obama had a blunt response when asked Wednesday to explain how it felt to watch the Democratic Party suffer the worst electoral defeat in the House in more than half a century.“It feels bad,” Obama said, facing the White House press corps a day after the election. He labeled the results a “shellacking.”
But while the president took responsibility for doing a poor job on a few issues, and said he wants to work with Republicans on matters such as energy, education and political ethics, he made clear that he does not regret passing the health-care overhaul that was a major factor in driving voter discontent.
“We’d be misreading the election if we thought the American people want to see us, for the next two years, relitigate arguments we had over the last two years,” Obama said when asked about Republican promises to dismantle the health-care legislation.
When he was reminded that one in two voters said they opposed the health-care bill, Obama shot back that the statistic “also means one out of two voters thinks it was the right thing to do.”
Obama signaled he is unwilling to compromise on his support for allowing tax cuts for those making $250,000 and above to expire on Jan. 1.
When asked whether he “didn’t get it,” Obama bristled.
“I’m doing a whole lot of reflecting,” he said.
He did signal he would be willing to cut a provision in the health-care bill that would require businesses to submit 1099 forms for all business to business transactions over $600.
“If it ends up just being so much trouble that small businesses find it difficult to manage, that’s something we should take a look at it,” he said.
The president said that the economy and jobs was the main reason that Democrats suffered such a stinging loss. He said that his policies had made the economy better, but that “clearly too many Americans haven’t felt that progress yet, and they told us that yesterday.”
Later Obama acknowledged that while he does not believe the economy is going backward, “what you can argue is that we’re stuck in neutral.”
The president said he had not sufficiently worked with the business community or “[made] absolutely clear that the only way America succeeds is if businesses are succeeding.”
When asked whether he is out of touch with voters, Obama said that he may be perceived as such only because he spends too much time at the White House.
“There is a inherent danger in being in the White House and being in the bubble. Folks didn’t have any complaints about my leadership style when I was running around Iowa for a year. And they got a pretty good look at me up close and personal and they were able to lift the hood and kick the tires and they understood that my story was theirs,” Obama said.
“When you’re in this place, it is hard not to seem removed,” he said. “How do I meet my responsibilities here, here in the White House … but still have that opportunity to engage with the American people on a day to day basis, and give them confidence that I’m listening to them?”
Obama said that there was also something about an electoral rebuke to keep any commander-in-chief on his toes and aware of the will of the people.
“This is something every president needs to go through,” Obama said.
He added, to laughter: “I’m not recommending to every president that they take a shellacking like the one I took last night.”
