The health care bill passes [see Prediction 3], on top of the already in motion and questionable stimulus package, which sets up a political climate of grave concern in the US. The climate has the ability to make the Bush administration's war in Iraq pale in comparison to the unrest I psi-see for 2010. This was all so preventable, save for the will of a few who held the power to move armies and politicians. A number of politicians will step down from their political positions, in relationship to the passing of the health care bill. Others will resign their posts, including people in the justice and legal system associated with Washington DC politics. Some pivotal politicians will die from disease and other means. Observe who they are. A relatively unknown politician will replace a long time politician, and this changes the balance of power as it regards the ruling parties and the health care bill. Through it all, the 'jump shot' time line edits continue, and the health care bill survives the political shake-up and passes. Regardless, that bill passes.

The 2010 prediction #3 has multiple hits. The healthcare bill passed, amid a drama of political machinations and stunning surprises. Because 2010 prediction # 2 interfaces with 2010 prediction # 3, both predictions should be viewed as a continuation of the other. Therefore, read 2010 prediction #2 for the prediction hits concerning the passage of the healthcare bill.
The is a reason why I included the Healthcare Bill in the precogs that I chose to share, and that is because political divisions and divisiveness over that bill will create a state of political civil war in the United States – and that is a very dangerous place for the US to be. As 2010 evolves into 2011, politicians and states are lining up to wage political and judicial war against the bill. States are joining to sue the US, and some politicians are doing what they can to get all or part of the bill repealed.
Here’s the thing about that bill, which is so clear to me when I psi gather info about it and those behind its creation and forward motion. The bill is something that was created to gain achievement credits for President Obama and his administration. It was never created to honestly address the actual needs of American citizens and America, nor was it created with an eye toward the hardships that it would bring to those who have health insurance and are struggling to hold onto it. The insurance companies have been trying to raise their rates, to such an obscene level, that policy holders can no longer the extremely high premiums. Then there are the low income and elderly, who suddenly found their health insurance cut off. Why weren’t these consequences considered when the healthcare bill was conjured? There is so much more, and while the political civil war carries on, the disenfranchised and poorly represented victims of the Healthcare bill – and insurance companies who price gouge - are falling through the cracks and into the darkest of nightmares. Stop the insurance companies from price gouging, stop an unrealistic Healthcare bill that doesn’t “care” at all. True and affordable health care in America is possible, but not when the greed of the few out maneuvers the need of the many.
As was written in the 2010 prediction #3 results, 2010 saw political warfare and political fallout over the way the US is being run, which includes the Healthcare bill and the comings and goings of politicians. There is a great deal of documentation that proves what was written in the prediction # 3 hits. Here are some of those hits.
Scott Brown, a little-known Republican state senator, pulled off one of the most stunning upsets in modern political history, potentially dealing a crippling blow to President Obama's healthcare agenda. Brown became the first GOP senator to represent Massachusetts in nearly four decades. The late Ted Kennedy, a democrat, had held that job for many influential years.
The Tea Party flexed its influence as Tea Party backed Christine O'Donnell upset Castle in the Delaware GOP race. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who voted for the Healthcare bill, found herself threatened and harassed. It got so bad that someone shot out the glass front door to her office. Eight days into 2011, Giffords was shot in the head by a would be assassin. Many were wounded and six were killed. There will be more on this in the 2011 Precognition section, including the discovery that she had a premonition about being shot while in public at a gathering.
Rahm Emanuel resigned as President Obama’s Chief of Staff. Andrew McLaughlin, President Obama's deputy CTO, left ostensibly to launch start-ups. Christina Romer, the chair of President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, resigns. Peter Orszag steps down as White House budget director. S. Elizabeth Birnbaum resigns from the Obama Administration in the Wake of the BP oil disaster. Former Senator Ted Stevens Killed in Alaska Plane Crash, and Tom Delay – a powerful member of Congress and the former House majority leader – was convicted of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Also, a number of politicians switched parties as the political warfare of 2010 took its toll on politicians, politics, and the American people.

Does Brown's Senate Win Mean the End of Health Reform?

As Scott Brown claimed victory in his bid to become the first GOP Senator to represent Massachusetts in nearly four decades, he told his ecstatic supporters that they had sent a message that is likely to shake Democrats across the nation at the onset of the congressional midterm election season. "What happened here can happen all over America," Brown declared. The Democrats, he predicted, "will be challenged again and again across this country. When there's trouble in Massachusetts, there's trouble everywhere — and now they know it."
Brown campaigned against his opponent, state attorney general Martha Coakley, on a promise to be the "41st Senator" — the one whose vote would give the Republicans the power to block Obama's health care bill with a filibuster. And yet, the ironies were deep. Brown won in a special election to fill an opening created by the death in August of Edward Kennedy, who had often described universal health coverage as "the cause of my life." And his victory came at the hands of voters whose state has come closer than any other to achieving that goal, thanks to a 2006 law that was championed by Republican Governor Mitt Romney.
Brown's victory has put a possibly insurmountable obstacle before a health care bill that only days ago was looking all but inevitable, after versions of it had passed both the House and the Senate. At this point, Democratic strategists in Washington say, the only hope may be to persuade a reluctant House to pass the Senate version intact. But the shock waves rippling from Massachusetts have made that a questionable prospect. Even if House liberals can be persuaded to accept the Senate bill's more conservative provisions, the larger concern is that Brown's victory could set off a stampede of moderate and conservative Democrats away from the legislation.

Former Senator Ted Stevens Killed in Plane Crash

Published: August 10, 2010FAIRBANKS, Alaska — Former Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska was among five people who died in a plane crash in remote southwest Alaska on Monday while on a fishing trip, their small plane weaving through the mountains in clouds and rain before hitting a mountainside. Nine people were aboard the plane, a single-engine DeHavilland DHC-3T capable of landing on water. Many of them had deep connections to government and Mr. Stevens’s long service in the Senate.
Few other American politicians equaled Mr. Stevens for endurance and grit. He survived enemy fire as a pilot during World War II and a plane crash that killed his first wife more than 30 years ago. He marched through six terms in the Senate, dismissing critics as he delivered billions of dollars for his home state. When a federal jury found him guilty of corruption in 2008, he insisted the verdict would be thrown out — and it eventually was, on grounds of prosecutorial misconduct, though not before costing him his seat.
Even so, local politicians still sought his endorsement, a stamp of Alaskan authenticity.

Rahm Emanuel Resigns as Obama Chief of Staff, Eyes Chicago Mayoral Race

President Obama announced Friday that his brash and hard-charging chief of staff Rahm Emanuel would resign effective immediately, marking the most significant departure to date from the president's inner circle.
Emanuel was beckoned away from Washington by an open seat in the Chicago mayoral race and is expected to soon launch a campaign for that post, one he's described as his dream job. A packed crowd of top-level officials gathered in the East Room to watch Obama pass the torch Friday from Emanuel to his selected replacement, senior adviser Pete Rouse.
The president, calling the occasion "bittersweet," credited Emanuel with the passage of landmark legislation during his administration and said he would be "extraordinarily well-qualified" for his next endeavor.
"He just brings an unmatched level of energy and enthusiasm and commitment to every single thing that he does," Obama said. "It's fair to say that we would not have accomplished what we've accomplished without Rahm's leadership."
The two joked about Emanuel's reputation as a foul-mouthed, but effective, manager. Obama quipped that an old injury in which Emanuel lost part of his middle finger rendered him "mute."
Emanuel, who choked up while talking about his family, thanked his staff and added: "I'm sure you've learned some words that you've never heard before." He also threw in some Chicago shout-outs, touting the Chicago Bears and pledging to "make our hometown even greater" in a preview of the mayoral race to come.
Emanuel leaves behind an administration in the midst of turnover at the highest levels, with the president approaching the two-year mark. It comes after economic adviser Christina Romer and budget director Peter Orszag left the administration, and after senior adviser David Axelrod and top economic adviser Lawrence Summers announced their intention to do the same.
One senior White House official told Fox News that Obama and Emanuel had a series of conversations over the course of several days as Emanuel considered whether to leave. The official said Emanuel informed Obama Wednesday of his plans and Obama offered Rouse the job the same day.
A White House source said Emanuel is expected to start a "listening tour" in Chicago's neighborhoods Monday.
Sources said they did not know when Emanuel would make an official announcement about his mayoral bid but that he would launch a website with a message to Chicago voters in the near future.
Emanuel's departure, though expected by the political world for days now, is still an unquestioned loss for Obama. The president has counted on Emanuel's intensity, discipline and congressional relationships to keep the White House focused and aggressive. The job comes with nearly unrivaled pressure and power.
Though Rouse, a calm White House presence with his own seasoned understanding of how Washington work, is expected to serve as interim chief of staff, the president is likely to choose a permanent replacement after the Nov. 2 midterm elections.
Top contenders are Rouse, deputy national security adviser Tom Donilon and Ron Klain, the chief of staff to Vice President Biden, according to aides close to the president.
Emanuel's plans were the source of widespread speculation both in Chicago and Washington, D.C. ever since Mayor Richard Daley announced this month he would not seek re-election. In an April television interview, Emanuel had called it "no secret" he'd like to run for mayor.
Daley, who has held the mayor's job since 1989 and carried on a family dynasty, surprised many with his announcement. The choice for Emanuel suddenly became whether he would make a dash for the political job he has openly coveted, at a cost of uprooting his family again and quitting his post of national influence sooner than he thought.
When he ultimately announces his candidacy, Emanuel instantly becomes the most recognizable name in what is already a crowded field of candidates and possible candidates. Already with well over $1 million in his war chest and his well documented ability to raise huge amounts of money for political candidates around the country, Emanuel's campaign would be extremely well funded.
But he may not be the most popular out of the gate. A Chicago Sun-Times poll released last month showed Emanuel in fifth place behind Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart, state Sen. James Meeks, Rep. Luis Gutierrez and Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.
Other possible candidates include former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley Braun and other local officials. A number of African Americans besides Moseley Braun are considering running, including Davis and Meeks. Black ministers, politicians and others have discussed throwing their support behind a single candidate.
A number of possible candidates, including Moseley Braun, Davis, Meeks and Dart, are in the process of collecting the 12,500 signatures necessary to win a spot on the February ballot.
Those running against Emanuel are sure to label him an outsider, and Emanuel will counter by stressing his ties to the city, particularly his tenure in Congress representing the district that includes Chicago's North Side.

S. Elizabeth Birnbaum Resigns From Obama Administration in Wake of BP Spill

ABC News’ Yunji de Nies Reports: S. Elizabeth Birnbaum is the latest Obama administration official to resign in the wake of the BP oil spill disaster. In a short letter addressed to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, the now former Director of the Mineral Management Service takes an apparent dig at Bush administration, writing, “I’m hopeful that the reforms that the Secretary and the Administration are undertaking will resolve the flaws in the current system that I inherited.”
Birnbaum took the job in July of last year. Since the spill in the Gulf of Mexico, her agency has been under fire for what critics call lax oversight over the energy leases they approve and managed.
In a statement, Secretary Salazar praised Birnbaum’s tenure, calling her “a strong and effective person and leader.” He said she “resigned today on her own terms and on her own volition.”
At a news conference this afternoon, President Obama told reporters he was informed of Birnbaum’s resignation earlier this morning and did not know the circumstances by which it came about.

Peter Orszag to resign: first big name to quit Obama's White House
Peter Orszag is to step down as White House budget director, the first major resignation from Obama's administration
June 22, 2010Peter Orszag, once profiled as "Washington's sexiest geek", is to step down from President Obama's administration after 18 months as director of the Office of Management and Budget – one of the most strenuous jobs in any White House but particularly in one beset by economic woe.
Orszag was widely regarded as an expert on healthcare policy, and played a big role in shepherding the Obama administration's efforts through the tortuous process of transforming healthcare reform into legislation. At the same time Orszag also had to confront the US government's yawning fiscal deficit and economic recession. He was the administration's leader in putting together the $860bn stimulus package passed by Congress only a month after taking office in 2009, as well as drawing up the plans for the Obama administration's first two budgets.
OMB directors usually have a short shelf life, because of the demands of the job, so Orszag's departure isn't surprising. The post is not in the cabinet but is accorded cabinet-level status within the White House hierarchy. And while Orszag will officially be the first big name to leave, his decision is predated by US solicitor general Elena Kagen's nomination to the Supreme Court.
Unusually for a policy wonk with a PhD from the LSE, Orszag hit the headlines for his complicated private life in January this year. As the New York Post reported at the time:

Orszag has two children from a previous marriage. He and Golodryga plan to get married later this year.
Orszag also had the embarrassment of causing panic on his first day on the job after he attempted to use a fireplace in his office in the Old Executive Office Building next to the White House. Unfortunately, the building's chimneys had been blocked up by the Secret Service, and the smoke set off the alarms.

Christina Romer, chair of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, to resign

Friday, August 6, 2010Christina Romer, chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, has resigned her post to return to her old job as an economics professor at the University of California at Berkeley, the White House said Thursday. Her resignation is effective Sept. 3.
President Obama said in a statement that Romer's decision was guided by "family commitments." Romer has long signaled that her time in Washington would be temporary; her husband, economist David Romer, has been on leave from his own post at Berkeley and their teenage son is due to start high school this fall.
Romer is also considered a serious candidate to replace Janet Yellen as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, one of the most important jobs in the Fed system. Yellen was recently named vice chairman of the Federal Reserve.
Romer, 51, is one of the nation's leading scholars of macroeconomic history and an expert on the Great Depression. She was tapped by Obama to serve as chief economist for the White House in November 2008 as the newly elected president was devising a response to a global economic panic.
Romer was instrumental in crafting the $862 billion economic stimulus package that Obama signed shortly after being sworn into office. She co-wrote a paper that predicted the stimulus would prevent unemployment rates from rising above 8 percent, a stance that has come under attack by Republicans who call the package a failure. Though most economists say the stimulus helped prevent a more severe economic crisis, the jobless rate has hovered near 10 percent and Romer's most recent forecast predicts that it will not drop below 8 percent until the end of 2012.
Respected by her administration colleagues and by Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, Romer was nonetheless frustrated by life in Washington, according to administration sources. After winning swift approval of the stimulus, the administration struggled to push other initiatives through a balky Congress as concern heightened about mounting deficits.
This year, Romer emerged as a strong advocate for additional federal spending to stimulate a sluggish recovery. But her top priority, state aid to preserve teaching and other public-sector jobs, languished for months on Capitol Hill. Slashed by more than half, it won Senate approval Thursday and is headed for final passage next week in the House.
Obama and his chief economic adviser, Lawrence H. Summers, praised Romer on Thursday, noting that she will continue to serve the administration as a member of the Economic Recovery Advisory Board led by former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker.

Andrew McLaughlin Obama's deputy CTO leaves to launch start-ups

Posted 12/22/2010Andrew McLaughlin, the nation's deputy chief technology officer, said Wednesday he is resigning his post to launch two start-ups aimed at technology development in communities in the United States and abroad.
McLaughlin, who previously worked as a Google executive, oversaw many of the White House's Internet policy initiatives including Internet access regulations, the expansion of broadband connections and global cybersecurity.
The announcement of McLaughlin's departure comes a day after the Federal Communications Commission passed its controversial net-neutrality rules, which bar broadband providers from impeding Internet traffic into American homes. President Obama has endorsed the regulations, which he promised during his election campaign and said Tuesday he would work to uphold them.
McLaughlin gained special scrutiny from Rep. Darryl Issa (R-Calif.) and some privacy advocates critical of the search giant after it was discovered he corresponded by e-mail to Google employees, which breaks his ethics pledge.
Some competitors and tech industry observers have criticized the administration for the hiring of several former Google employees and the appointment of the company's chief executive, Eric Schmidt, as an economic adviser. They say the company wields too much influence in the government. Other economic advisors to the White House come from Microsoft, IBM, GE and Cisco.
In an e-mail, McLaughlin, who previously served as Google's head of global public policy, said he was ready to rejoin the private sector after two years in the White House. He will remain in Washington as he launches his start-up ventures. His last day at the White House is Thursday.
"I'm interested in fostering low-cost, collaborative tech for state and local governments, and also in supporting new start-ups in developing countriesone non-profit the other for-profit," McLaughlin wrote in an e-mail.
McLaughlin also said he will return to teaching law, which he did at Harvard University's Berkman Center seven years ago.
McLaughlin joined the White House's high-tech advisory and policy office headed by CTO Aneesh Chopra and CIO Vivek Kundra after working on President Obama's transition following the election.
"My White House experience has been fantastic, but it's been more than 2 years since I started working on the transition, and I've been feeling the itch to get entrepreneurial again," McLaughlin wrote.

Tea Party-Backed O'Donnell Upsets Castle in Delaware GOP RacePublished September 15, 2010 | FoxNews.com
Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell, a perennial candidate with no government experience, soundly defeated veteran politician Mike Castle for the Republican Senate nomination in Delaware Tuesday -- posing a major upset to the political establishment on the last big day of primaries.With all precincts reporting, O'Donnell beat Castle 53-47 percent.
O'Donnell's win stands as the latest sign of Tea Party strength but also the latest test of whether that movement helps or hinders the Republican Party, with an open seat and perhaps a GOP Senate majority at stake. Tea Party ally Carl Paladino also beat former Rep. Rick Lazio in the New York Republican gubernatorial primary Tuesday.
Party fractures on full display, Republican aides told Fox News Tuesday that O'Donnell would not be getting national fundraising support. State party leaders had warned that O'Donnell cannot compete against Democrat Chris Coons and vigorously backed Castle, a nine-term congressman and former governor.
But O'Donnell stood her ground as she closed out the race by accusing Castle of selling out to the moderate wing of the party. Hailing her win Tuesday as a victory for "citizen politicians," she urged Republicans to "bury the hatchet" and work with her over the next two months to defeat Coons.
"A lot of people have already said that we can't win the general election," O'Donnell said in her victory speech, joining the crowd in a "yes we can" chant. "It is those same so-called experts who said we had no chance of winning the primary.
"It will be hard work, but we can win," she said.
Seven states and Washington, D.C., held primary contests Tuesday night. Among the highlights, embattled Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., beat back five Democratic primary challengers; D.C. Council Chairman Vincent Gray ousted Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty; and GOP businessman Ron Johnson won the GOP Senate nomination in Wisconsin for the chance to take on vulnerable Sen. Russ Feingold in November.
Tea Party-backed candidate Ovide Lamontagne also took the early lead in the GOP primary contest for Senate in New Hampshire, but was trailing former Attorney General Kelly Ayotte as votes continued to be counted Wednesday.
But all eyes were on Delaware, where Republicans scrambled for the seat formerly held by Vice President Biden.
Considered a long shot just weeks ago, O'Donnell's candidacy got renewed attention after conservative Joe Miller beat Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski in their state's Senate primary last month. Big-name endorsements from Sarah Palin and South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint boosted her profile in the final days of the race, which snowballed into one of the nastiest intra-party battles of the year.
Republican aides told Fox News Tuesday that the National Republican Senatorial Committee will not be funding O'Donnell's general election campaign, leaving it up to Palin and the Tea Party Express to do the heavy lifting.
The NRSC issued a terse statement congratulating O'Donnell for her nomination "after a hard-fought primary campaign."
The Tea Party Express said it hoped the National Republican Senatorial Committee would reconsider its decision not to support O'Donnell.
"We encourage the NRSC to take a night off, get some sleep, and reconsider their rash statements," Tea Party Express spokesman Levi Russell said in a written statement.
"Wake up NRSC," he added. "The reason the Tea Party movement has grown into such a powerful force is because of the failures of establishment organizations such as yours to honor the principles of the Republican Party platform."You tried to force through the most liberal Republican in Congress on the voters of Delaware and they rejected you."
Castle, thanking his campaign staff for their "integrity and honesty," conceded late Tuesday.
"The voters in the Republican primary have spoken and I respect that decision," he said.
Democrats were eager to draw lessons from O'Donnell's victory and immediately portrayed her Tuesday as too extreme for her state, as they did when conservative Sharron Angle won the GOP Senate nomination in Nevada earlier this year.
"Today the Republican Party has shown just how far right it has moved," DNC Chairman Tim Kaine said in a written statement. "While Americans in Delaware and across the country are eager for both parties to work together toward solutions that move America forward, Delaware's Tea Party Republicans have nominated a self-aggrandizing and divisive candidate who seeks to tear down the progress we've made to recover from failed Republican economic policies that took us to the brink of economic collapse."
While O'Donnell's campaign enjoyed a $250,000 injection from the Tea Party Express, some Tea Party groups did not support her. The state GOP and even some of O'Donnell's former staffers have hammered her for calling herself a fiscal conservative when she has had personal financial problems.
O'Donnell tried to brush off the attacks, accusing the party of resorting to "cannibalism" in an ultimately failed attempt to stave off her rise against Castle.
Party leaders no doubt were looking at midterm polls that showed Castle leading Coons in November but O'Donnell trailing. The seat could be critical for Republicans hoping to gain control of the Senate. They need to pick up 10 seats to do so.
In Maryland, the GOP gubernatorial primary also included a Tea Party activist and Palin-backed candidate: investor Brian Murphy. But he failed to pick up enough steam to topple former Gov. Robert Ehrlich.
Ehrlich won the GOP nomination by a landslide Tuesday and is eyeing a November rematch against Democratic incumbent Martin O'Malley, who beat him in 2006.

AUSTIN, Texas The heavy-handed style that made Tom DeLay one of the nation's most powerful and feared members of Congress also proved to be his downfall Wednesday when a jury determined he went too far in trying to influence elections, convicting the former House majority leader on two felonies that could send him to prison for decades.
Jurors deliberated for 19 hours before returning guilty verdicts on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering in a scheme to illegally funnel corporate money to Texas candidates in 2002. He faces up to life in prison on the money laundering charge, although prosecutors haven't yet recommended a sentence.
DeLay's lead attorney, Dick DeGuerin, said they planned to appeal the verdict.
Prosecutors said DeLay, who once held the No. 2 job in the House of Representatives and whose tough tactics earned him the nickname "the Hammer," used his political action committee to illegally channel $190,000 in corporate donations into 2002 Texas legislative races through a money swap.
